I was part of the original group. At first, we were an unnamed group of friends who wanted to sing Christmas carols. While Caroling, Pops Davis asked what we were called, and without missing a beat, Travis said, "we are the Phantom Singers because no one knows where we will be singing next" (or at least that's how I remember it 21 years later ;-). Some point after my graduation, the Phantoms dropped the "Singers" from the Phantom Singers and got much cooler than our little troupe of carolers.
I now sing only for my 3 children.
